The sittings for this series started whilst watching the Channel 4 documentary Blitz on a television in Leonard and Roxanne’s bedroom. The documentary included Leonard’s vivid memories of his experiences as a Fire Officer in the City of London on the night of the Blitz, December 29th 1940.
